Results published by IAB Poland and PwC AdEx shed new light on the current state and future of digital marketing 📊📲 According to the data presented in the report, online advertising spending in the third quarter of 2023 increased by an impressive PLN 600 million compared to the same period last year. ✅ The total value of this expenditure reached nearly PLN 5.4 billion, with a growth rate of 12.5%. This is undoubtedly a positive prognosis for the entire market. Looking at the overall market picture, we see that graphic advertising continues to dominate, accounting for 41% of the total online advertising landscape. This is a format that includes both static display and video, and is of continued interest to advertisers. In second place is SEM communication, which accounts for almost a third of online ad spend. It is worth noting that almost all advertising formats recorded positive growth rates, with the exception of email marketing communication, which recorded a slight decline. Google Ads Improves Brand Settings.... Google Ads has announced new Search and Performance Max settings to improve brand safety and reporting. Brand restrictions and brand exclusions will ensure that traffic and reporting are funneled to the right campaigns. Brand restrictions allow advertisers to show ads only when the brand or sub-brand is in the query. For example, Wayfair could add a brand restriction for its name so only queries with “Wayfair” or a sub-brand such as “Zipcode Design” would show ads. Brand exclusions allow advertisers to exclude brands from showing ads in Performance Max campaigns. For example, Wayfair could exclude its own brands in a Performance Max campaign if it doesn’t want those names to show an ad. Wayfair could also exclude other brands, such as Kenmore, for the same reasons. These new settings provide more control over brand traffic and reporting, which can help advertisers improve their campaigns. Here are some additional details about the new settings: 1] Brand restrictions are available for Search campaigns. 2] Brand exclusions are available for Performance Max campaigns. 3] Advertisers can create up to 10 brand lists. 4] Brand lists can be added by submitting a brand’s URL. 5] Google requires an approval form if it doesn’t recognize the brand. I helped a brand transform their ROAS from 3 to around 10-12. By implementing these 3 simple Google Ads optimizations: 1. Product Feed Duplication For a single shopping search, you could have multiple product listings shown at the same time. And this is a must for brands with just 1 or 2 products. You get more real estate, especially for branded searches. The cool thing about this… You can customize your feed to a specific goal. By duplicating and changing the main attributes of the same feed… You can target a whole different audience and keyword theme. For example… You can have lifestyle product images on your prospecting campaigns. And just regular product shots for branded campaigns. You just need to make sure you’re not submitting the same set of attributes. - - - 2. GMC Duplication Just a short notice… This only works in Europe and UK. You can duplicate your product feed and your entire Google Merchant Center. This lets you participate in the same auction with 2 or more comparison shopping services. What this means is that… Within one Google ads account, you can have multiple Shopping ad listings… For the same search terms. And the good thing is that you never compete with yourself. - - - 3. Bulk Pricing This one’s really been flying under the radar. It allows you to tell Google you have a tiered pricing model. This is a game changer if you're selling products at a lower price for higher quantities. For example... You can say in your ads the normal price is $5. But if you buy at least 10, then the price becomes $4. If you buy at least 50, it becomes $3.
