This past Saturday, members of the City of St. Pete Beach, Florida City Commission and staff participated in the 2024 Fire Ops 101 event. This hands-on experience included several live simulations with fire engine operations, search and rescue of a victim lost in a smoke-filled building, vehicle extrication, defibrillation on a victim of cardiac arrest, and much more. Each adrenaline-filled moment gave participants a sense of a "day in the life" of our dedicated fire fighters and paramedics. Thank you to St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue Deputy Chiefs and staff members for your time and assistance during the simulations and for helping to organize an incredible event.
