I am thrilled to share this powerful insight about the transformational impact of reentry programs! Did you know? Reentry programs do not only help individuals reintegrate back into society. They also restore hope, dignity and second chances. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 1️⃣ 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲. Reentry programs help individuals who have been impacted by justice to break the cycle of incarceration. 2️⃣ 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. When we invest into reentry programmes, we are investing in safer and more vibrant communities. We create growth and healing opportunities for all by offering a pathway to rehabilitation. 3️⃣ 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆. We unlock the potential of individuals by equipping them with the skills and resources they need to make a meaningful contribution to our workforce. 4️⃣ 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗺. Studies have shown that access to reentry programmes reduces the likelihood of repeat offenses. We can create a more equitable and brighter future by addressing the root causes of crime, providing support, and addressing those. 🆃🅾🅶🅴🆃🅷🅴🆁, let's create a society that allows everyone to thrive. #SecondChances, #ReentrySuccess, #SocialImpact 💪 🌍

What is a CHW? Community Health Workers are more than you think. I sit at tables with people who don't really know. I sit quietly because not being heard keeps you quiet. In the meantime, here is the correct answer to this very important question. A Community Health Worker (CHW) is a frontline public worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the CHW to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. A CHW also builds individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self- sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy. But trust me, we do more for one single person who needs that personal touch, a caring hug and we help make a difference in the lives of many too. Learn more here!

How do you teach your students to address systemic bias and racism? An important part of providing culturally safe care is looking outward to address the systemic biases and racism Indigenous people, minority groups, and underserved populations experience. In our textbooks for PSWs and nurses, we provide: ☑️ Examples of systemic bias and racism in healthcare ☑️ Ways to integrate a palliative approach in rural Indigenous Communities ☑️ Calls-to-action for the federal government to address racism, and so much more! Being a recruiter for care services is a lot like being a navigator in uncharted waters. It's challenging, unpredictable, and incredibly rewarding. Every day, I have the chance to match amazing individuals with opportunities that can change YPs lives. It's not just about filling positions; it's about understanding dreams and turning them into realities. Sure, there are days when the to-do list seems endless, and my desk looks like a battleground of papers and coffee cups. But then there are those moments - when you see the impact of your work on someone's life - that remind you why it's all worth it. So here's to the journey, the ups and downs, and the joy of making a difference. Working with children in care or leaving care isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger, to contribute to someone's success story. And that, to me, is the best part of what I do. #RealImpact #CareLeaversServices #MakingADifference #residentialcare #ChildrenInCare #FosterCareJourney #SupportingYouth #CareLeaverSuccess #YouthEmpowerment #BrightFuturesAhead #ChildWelfareAdvocacy #FosterCareAwareness #EmpowerCareLeavers #ChildProtection #TransformingLives #AdvocateForChildren #SupportingFamilies #FosteringHope #BuildingResilience #YouthDevelopment #CommunitySupport #CareToChange #InspireTheYouth #FutureLeaders #MakeADifference

📢 Calling All Neurodivergent Adults! 📢 Are you looking to make a difference in the neurodivergent community? Neurodivergent Friends is actively seeking neurodivergent adults to join our board. Our motto: Nothing about us without us! Neurodivergent Friends is dedicated to providing safe and supportive social opportunities for people of all ages. Our mission is to create a community where neurodivergent individuals can find their tribe, socialize, and thrive. Our primary goal is to address the lack of supportive, safe spaces for neurodivergent individuals and those with IDD. Many of us face social isolation and need more opportunities for meaningful engagement. Neurodivergent Friends aims to create environments where friendships can flourish through special programs and advocacy. Starting locally in Harker Heights, we plan to branch out and reach more communities. We also aim to offer voluntary revokable ad-litem (not guardianship) services for adults who want help preventing exploitation, and we'll refer to the TxP2P networks program where appropriate. Let's build a supportive community together! 👐 Connect with us on LinkedIn: Neurodivergent Friends Check out the Texas Network Connections: TxP2P Services #NeurodivergentFriends #CommunitySupport #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #SocialOpportunities #Neurodivergence
