Our recent delegation to 🇧🇷 #Brazil as part of the #ETRELA Project was a pivotal step in supporting #renewableenergy (RE) education and training in #LatinAmerica and the #Caribbean. Renac's Christiane Vaneker and Jens Brand, alongside colleagues from Global Factor - Craig Menzies and Miriam Macías Solis, contributed to this transformative initiative.   ETRELA focuses on "Improving, increasing, and facilitating access to renewable energy (RE) education and training (E&T) in Latin-America (LA)," aiming to bolster skilled professionals in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors. The project is funded by IKI, the International Climate Initiative by the German government and implemented under the leadership of OLADE - Organización Latinoamericana de Energía with Renewables Academy (RENAC), Global Factor and 8 partner universities.   Our visit to Brazil had two destinations, first we visited UNICAMP Universidade Estadual de Campinas, close to Sao Paolo, and after, Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo - IFSP de Instituto Federal da Paraíba, João Pessoa. Our mission's core objective was to understand the universities' specific needs in renewable #energyeducation and #energyefficiency. This lays the groundwork for a robust collaboration to effectively address these needs. The exchange of insights during our discussions were invaluable. We anticipate a strong partnership to equip the next generation of professionals with the skills for renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency. As implementing partners of ETRELA, both institutes play a crucial role in shaping #sustainable #energy #education.   We extend our heartfelt thanks for the warm reception at both campuses. We're excited about this collaboration's potential to advance sustainable energy education in Brazil and beyond.

The convention, which brings together major players in the hydrogen industry, is devoted to the prospects for hydrogen on the Seine Axis. This industrial zone, which is in the process of being decarbonised, is home to numerous projects and companies involved in this approach. A number of round tables have been organised on the role of hydrogen in the energy sector and the future of this sector in the Seine Axis. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭? A number of experts and major players in the hydrogen sector are on hand to answer participants' questions. They included: Normandie Energies: the cluster bringing together all the regional players in the energy field Air Liquide: World leader in gas and hydrogen pioneer Transdev Normandie: a major player in sustainable mobility in Normandy ArianeGroup: leader on renewable liquid hydrogen 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲, 𝐚 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 Normandy is considered a leader in the hydrogen sector. In 2018, the region was the first to adopt a plan to support the hydrogen industry. Since then, Normandy has been committed to developing hydrogen as a renewable energy. Normandy can count on a number of key factors for its hydrogen industry, including: ✅Assets and skills: France's leading potential for marine renewable energies ✅A varied ecosystem: numerous clusters, sectors and R&D centers are involved in hydrogen. ✅A leader in hydrogen mobility: EAS HyMob recharging stations have been set up throughout the region, and the region has joined forces with Transdev to trial hydrogen buses.
