DDP/ PACE, confused? We have noticed that people are increasingly confused and often unsure of the correct training/ terminology regarding Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Institute principles and the use of PACE in therapeutic parenting. It worries us a little as we hear PACE is being ‘trained’ as a technique, but it's not; it's a way of being. In addition, trainers should have a lot of training and knowledge in this area to deliver this. Consequently, we have created a page/ map on our website to help organisations and individuals understand this better to provide guidance and understanding for all. After all, the more knowledge we all have, the better love and care our children will have. ❤️🌈 https://lnkd.in/eZjZKMpV

Our counseling team is attending an advanced EMDR training focused on the treatment of complex trauma in youth. We are very grateful and appreciative of the scholarships we received for the training through All Star Children's Foundation. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a psychotherapy approach primarily used to treat trauma-related disorders. During EMDR sessions, patients recall distressing memories while simultaneously undergoing bilateral stimulation, typically through side-to-side eye movements, hand tapping, or auditory tones. This therapy aims to help individuals process traumatic memories by facilitating the brain's natural healing mechanisms. By engaging in bilateral stimulation while recalling distressing events, EMDR may help desensitize the emotional intensity of traumatic memories and reprocess them into more adaptive and less distressing forms. Over time, this process can lead to symptom reduction and emotional healing, allowing individuals to move forward with their lives. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthAwareness #EMDRTherapy #MentalHealth

👀EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is showing great promise in treating trauma and anxiety in children and adolescents. This innovative therapy uses bilateral stimulation, like guided eye movements and tapping, to help kids process and reframe traumatic memories. Children's developing brains are highly susceptible to the effects of trauma, which can lead to mood disorders, low self-worth, relationship issues, and maladaptive behaviors. EMDR helps reprocess these memories, promoting healthier coping mechanisms without the need for medication. If your child is struggling with the effects of trauma, consider EMDR therapy. It's a powerful tool to help them heal and build resilience for the future. #MentalHealth #EMDR #EMDRTherapy #TraumaTherapy #ChildTherapy #TraumaHealing #Resilience #ParentingTips #TherapyWorks #Breakthrough
