Alzheimer's is a progressive brain disorder, NOT a normal part of aging. At Voyager, we are committed to advancing new treatment approaches for patients in need; that’s why we have three Alzheimer’s programs in our pipeline. November is Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, whose mission is to support, educate, and fund research for #Alzheimers and related #dementia. Dementias, such as Alzheimer's disease, have a major impact on the people living with dementia and their caregivers, families, and communities. Clinical trials can help us understand dementias and develop effective treatments. Fill out the form on our website (https://lnkd.in/ecfeQtis) or call our office at (508) 746-5060 to learn more about our active clinical trials. #DementiaResearch #ALZResearch #ClinicalTrials #HeadlandsResearch

Early and sustained intervention may be the key to slowing the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Hear experts discuss the patient clinical care pathway in AD, including the evolving diagnostic workflow; identifying appropriate patients and addressing their needs; and meaningful benefit and patient-relevant outcomes. #EndAlz #AlzheimersDisease #dementia

It’s Alzheimer’s Awareness Month! Resonant stands in support of all those affected by this devastating disease—patients, family, friends, caretakers. An estimated 6.7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s dementia. Although the first drug with the ability to alter the course of the disease was only recently approved by the FDA (2021), the momentum is growing and the list of Alzheimer’s treatments is expanding. Researchers are also developing more effective ways to diagnose the disease in its earlier stages when interventions are likely more effective in slowing it down. We’re committed to this mission and are developing pre-symptomatic diagnostics, optimistic that we will see a future in which Alzheimer’s can be diagnosed, managed, and treated much more effectively. #endalz #alzheimersawarenessmonth #alzheimers #diagnostics

Exciting developments in diagnostic testing were presented recently at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference. A new finger prick blood test has potential for the detection of Alzheimer disease. This has incredible potential for diagnosing and monitoring Alzheimer's disease remotely. For further reading check out the following article published in Medical News Today https://lnkd.in/ev2xZwMW Advancements like this in diagnostic testing can play a crucial role in our healthcare system. Availability of at home diagnostic tests, that do not require clinician oversight, will allow for earlier diagnosis and intervention. In the case of dementia, research shows that up to 50% of patients with any form of dementia are not formally diagnosed while alive. #diagnostics #innovation #healthcareinnovation #healthcare

#AlzheimersDisease is a continuum: across Europe, more than 1 in 5 people older than 50 are impacted. Worryingly, many aren’t diagnosed until it’s too late for benefiting from early intervention.¹,² Yet there is cause for hope. In May 2023, the leaders of the G7 countries committed to improving early detection, diagnosis, and intervention for Alzheimer's disease and other diseases causing dementia. This commitment includes efforts to develop effective care pathways and enhance the capabilities of primary care providers.³ Discover more here: https://lnkd.in/eJu4btx6
