🚨Performance Training ➕ Skill Work🚨 The synergies between performance training and basketball skill work is not stressed enough. With basketball season in full swing it’s important that your athlete is doing both. The correlation with performance training is that if you are strong and mobile, you’ll have access to a lot more potential on the court. It is important to make sure that they are lifting during the season because it will help injury prevention and maintain muscle and strength. For skills training, coaches probably will have the athlete in a role so it is important that you practice what is expected in their role but more importantly continue to expand their game in their free time. Want to avoid a plateau. All that just to remind you, your athlete’s playing time is related to how they perform.
