We are thrilled to share the incredible success of The Homestead at Hickory View Retirement Community's recent event, Paws for a Cause: Stuff the Bus, held in support of the Franklin County Humane Society! 🐾 Throughout the month of April, residents poured their hearts into crafting Paw Balm, Shampoo bars, and delicious dog treats, all with one goal in mind: to make a difference in the lives of our four-legged friends. 🐶❤️ Thanks to the unwavering generosity and dedication of our community, we were able to fill not just one, but TWO shopping carts with essential items like food, crates, beds, toys, and more! 🛒💖 #giveback #humanesociety

Dog Balm. It’s a thing! Rigden Farm Senior Living residents have been making Pooches and Smooches Paw Balm to help furry friends dealing with dry noses and rough paws. Residents Mary and Vann, taught us how it’s made while leading an insightful discussion about the benefits for the pets we love so much. The program is a collaborative endeavor stemming from their partnership with All Aboard Animal Rescue. Through this initiative, Rigden residents actively contribute to a noble cause by doing something actionable. Items created are available for a donation with all proceeds directed toward supporting the shelter's vital efforts. Beyond the craft itself, this event underscored the profound impact our work has on residents' lives. It served as a poignant reminder of our commitment to enhancing their well-being through meaningful engagement and community involvement. We extend our gratitude to Mary, Vann, and all residents involved for their dedication and inspiration. Together we continue to exemplify our corporate ethos of fostering enriching experiences and making a positive difference in our communities. #CorporateResponsibility #CommunityEngagement #SeniorLiving
