The inaugural HLTH Europe conference is buzzing, and we are excited to host it right here in Amsterdam, the home market for Philips and just a stone’s throw away from our headquarters. As the first day kicked off, there’s already incredible energy with over 3,500 healthcare professional and avid watchers gathered here, representing more than 50 countries. There’s no better place to announce this year’s edition of Philips Future Health Index Global Report, titled: “Better Care for More People” (find it here: https://lnkd.in/eyizEJZx). Now in its 9th year, the Philips Future Health Index is the largest global survey of its kind, featuring input from nearly 3,000 healthcare leaders across 14 countries. For the 2024 report, we’ve focused on three of today’s most pressing gaps that stand in the way of delivering better care for all, and how leaders are bridging them. This year’s hot topic of discussion is the rise of AI and generative AI. Our Future Health Index shows that health leaders are increasingly turning to AI and automation to help address staffing gap and workforce shortages. In fact, 99% of health leaders responding to our survey have implemented at least one type of AI for clinical decision support. Listen to our LinkedIn newscast (https://lnkd.in/eQwbSaUP) on more insights on the future state of healthcare and stay tuned for more updates on AI.

***Put your volume down before starting the video :) **** Attending Hlth 2023 in Vegas was an incredible experience for MiiCare. We made valuable connections and attended talks by some of the industry's biggest players. Key takeaways for us include: 1. AI continues to dominate the conversations among all the key players of our sector. I attended talks from Abbott, Microsoft, Samsung, Google, etc and there seem to be a very strong focus on how AI can be used to meet the future needs of our industry. This is timely as the gap in vacancies of healthcare workers continues to increase. Some of the innovations were perhaps still fictional and not ripe for today's world, but there was full recognition that some of these solutions should start to make it through the health systems now, to gain maturity and be ready in few years from now. 2. The big players in health are forging ahead in the development of innovative digital solutions designed to extend the healthspan. This shift to preventative care will see the proliferation of a totally new health solution that would go beyond data, beyond platforms and beyond mobile. A paradigm shift giving rise to a new modality... the 'Health Operating System' for the home - stay tuned. 3. Big Pharma's are now going beyond the pill. They are equally interested in leveraging real world data and digital health to improve population health at scale! They certainly bring along a fresh mindset and perspective in the industry that would benefit all #Hlth2023 #DigitalHealth #AI #HealthcareIndustry It was also nice to hang out and exchange ideas with members of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, UKRI Healthy Ageing Challenge, Madhukar Bose from DBT, Pooja Majmudar, PhD Monika Holod Jennifer Celio Li, MPH, MS, OTR, Paul Martin Sumanth Munipalli Ricky Y. Choi, MD, MPH Vipan Nikore MD, MBA, FACP Amelia Hay Bret Oettmeier Hannes Bend Seeni Komolafe Kenny He Jane Lyons Sam Shah Ben Schor Nuzi Barkatally Dean Andrews Peter Rotheneichner Joel Shapira and fellow innovators and founders from the UK who made it to the conference.
