As the largest #gasdistributor in #NSW, we’re proud to deliver and supply #naturalgas to power the hot water, heating, cooking and more needed by local homes, businesses and industries. Last year, Jemena connected more than 26,000 new customers across the state to our #gasnetwork and delivered more than 87,000 #terajoules of #energy to more than 1.5 million customers overall. And while we continue to deliver the natural #gas our customers need, we’re also looking to our #netzero future. We’re investing in #renewable #gasprojects such as #hydrogen and #biomethane as part of the #decarbonisation of Australia’s #gasnetworks. There is much that can be achieved by using the energy from the sun, we could be less reliant on fossil fuels and could also reduce the amount of carbon emissions whilst having affordable energy in a turbulent energy market. #solarpower #energyefficiency #gogreen #renewable

Did you know that renewable gas has enormous potential in Western Australia? As we head toward a sustainable future, renewable gases like #hydrogen and #biomethane could be renewable alternatives to natural gas. While natural gas is a safe, reliable and cost-effective form of energy used to power our every day in WA, renewable gas alternatives are one way we can reduce our emissions while continuing to use the same gas appliances we know and love today. There are more than 20,000 biogas plants in Europe already, reducing their emissions, creating jobs and helping to power their economies. Gas isn’t’ just helping the energy transition, it’s in transition itself. LEARN MORE: https://lnkd.in/g6PnJi9Y

Rural Europe is more than beautiful landscapes and peaceful settings. It’s families, care homes, schools, industries, and agriculture. In fact, 30% of Europeans live in rural communities, many of whom rely on liquid gas to power their homes and businesses. At UGI International we’re proud to support their energy needs today, while developing the renewable solutions they can rely on tomorrow. Learn more about how we’re building the foundations for the green transition – even in the most remote areas of Europe: https://lnkd.in/eVQfsSvh #Rural #Renewable #LiquidGas #OffGrid #EnergyTransition

🇪🇸 💻 What are the Spanish perspectives on the renewable heating & cooling market? Today's RHC-ETIP webinar brings together researchers and industry experts for an insightful roundtable on Spain's policy and financial framework for renewable heating and cooling. Enrique Vilamitjana – Managing Director at Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions Europe: "Heat pump roll-out is now happening at a slower pace, while the industry is heavily investing in Europe. How can we work together to overcome this current slowdown? Consumers need clearer information: informed consumers are the best weapon we can deploy to strengthen the heat pump market." A lot of important energy policy events going on this is fall: + 350Vermont's Empower Vermont campaign is underway (next stop 10/1 in Manchester featuring the incomparable Bill McKibben), + the REV Annual Conference is 10/18 & 10/19 (revconference.org) + and, if you really want to get into the weeds, the Legislative Working Group on Renewable Energy Standard Reform meets every other Wednesday (https://lnkd.in/dDdm7vbg) The common theme across all three of these? Finding the path to 100% renewable energy here in Vermont. It's doable, it's critical, it is time.
#EVs, #heatpumps, and other electrification methods are fantastic! AND we need to power them with renewable electricity to get the best bang for our climate buck. Check out 350Vermont's awesome EmpowerVT campaign as it stops in Manchester this Sunday to see how we get to 100% #renewables with a truly clean and just power sector. It was a pleasure to share our work on #Tasmania’s #energy system at the Tasmania Energy Development Conference today. Great to hear about the high ambition of Tasmania in leveraging their #renewables advantage and developing a range of new industries. There is a real sense of opportunity, but similar challenges to what we are seeing elsewhere in #Australia, with slow approvals, high supply chain costs and bottle necks, and the famous chicken and egg problem of supply/demand for renewables and green #hydrogen based products. Good to see some of the early demand use cases in local freight networks and e-fuels for progressive shipping companies. #renewableenergy #energytransition #TasEnergy24 Alan Pears IEEFA Asia Pacific

Cooking like a MasterChef with renewable gas isn’t a new phenomenon – in fact, it’s increasingly been adopted around the world. In Denmark, more than 37% of all gas used across the country is biomethane, and it’s well on its way to displace 75% of natural gas use by 2030. It’s increasingly obvious we cannot rely on just one solution to solve a very complex problem, we need all of them to get to net zero as quickly and affordably as possible. https://hubs.ly/Q02tJG0S0 AGIG Jemena ATCO and Solstice Energy
