🎆🐾 Fireworks might be fun for us, but for our furry friends, they can be a source of stress and anxiety. As you celebrate this week, let's remember to show compassion to our beloved pets. Here are some tips to help your dogs feel safe and calm during the festivities: Create a Safe Space: Provide a quiet, comfortable area where your dog can retreat to if they feel scared. Distraction is Key: Keep them occupied with their favorite toys or a treat-filled puzzle. Stay Calm: Your pet looks to you for cues. Remaining calm and comforting can help them feel more secure. Use Calming Products: Consider using a Thunder shirt, calming treats, or pheromone sprays to reduce anxiety. Keep Them Indoors: During fireworks, keep your pets indoors with windows and doors closed to minimize the noise. ❤️🐶

Autumn is a great time of year 🎃🎆 Make sure you and your cat stay safe this season 👇 🍫 Chocolate and sweets can be toxic to cats, so keep Halloween treats somewhere your cat can’t reach. 🌟 Keep glow sticks away from cats – their fluorescent contents can make them sick if ingested. 🕯️ Keep candles out of the way so they don’t get knocked over and to avoid burnt whiskers or paws – try using electric or battery powered candles as a safe alternative. 🎆 If your cat has outdoor access, train them to stay indoors after dark to keep them safely away from fireworks – give them plenty of comfy hiding places, close windows, lock cat flaps and try playing music or leaving the TV on to dampen the sound of bangs. 🔥 Before you light them, check bonfires for cats and other small animals hiding in them. 🎇 Keep sparklers away from animals and make sure they are disposed of safely.
