Productise Yourself verb: productise make or develop (a service, concept, etc.) into a product. "Productize" and "yourself." "Yourself" has uniqueness. "Productize" has leverage. "Yourself" has accountability. "Pro-ductize" has specific knowledge. "Yourself" also has specific knowledge in there. So all of these pieces, you can combine them into these two words. 106 years ago, 1st April 1918 was the day the Royal Air Force was inaugurated, distinct from the British Army and Royal Navy, creating the World’s first entirely separate and independent air service. We’re not that old, but we do have over fifty years’ experience in the aerospace industry where we’ve established a strong presence supplying development parts and equipment, tooling jigs and fixtures and test rig and test equipment to fixed wing and rotorcraft systems. We’ve worked on a range of civil and military projects and have delivered a vast range of products and services, from structures and systems design, through to the manufacture of complex flying components and sub-assemblies. #raf #aerospace #engineering #defence #technical #manufacturing #welding #assembly #tooling #fixedwing #rotorcraft

Good! Finally, another viable shipyard on the East Coast! Watch this begin to drive prices of auxiliaries down, as I'm sure they'll bid on those types of vessels first. I wouldn't be surprised if they totally revamp the shipyard and make it a player for the LSM (Landing Ship, Medium) and other series-built programs. This purchase likely places pressure on the smaller defense shipyards, such as Austal, Bollinger, Fincantieri and NASSCO. In future years, they may place pressure on Bath Iron Works and HII. They'll hire more Americans to expand and work at the yard and produce more ships. All good for our nation, the community around the shipyard, and our economic and workforce development goals. #Maritime #Shipbuilding #NationalShipbuildingStrategy #HanwhaOcean #PhillyShipyard #USNavy #EconomicDevelopment #WorkforceDevelopent

Here's a novel idea... the US Navy have worked out that the best way to solve their shipbuilding industry capacity problem is to place orders. The Navy awarded a pair of five-year, multi-ship contracts to the two prime shipbuilders; Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding will produce six destroyers and General Dynamics’ Bath Iron Works will build three. Acknowledging the differences in scale, maybe there;s a lesson here for the Australian Government? #ausnavy #shipbuilding

June Supplier Spotlight! The Entwistle Company is proud to support the US Navy as a crucial member of both the Ship and Submarine Industrial base, providing shipyards and defense manufacturers complete ship assemblies for over fifty years. The 200 New Englanders and Virginians working in Entwistle’s Massachusetts and Virginia manufacturing sites take tremendous pride in seeing Entwistle products installed on the Navy’s Amphibs, Carriers, Cruisers/Destroyers, Submarines, and small combatants. David Hebert, PMP, VP of Business Development, highlighted Entwistle's approach to supporting the Navy when he said: “Entwistle’s legacy of warfighter support reaches back to destroyers delivered in the 70’s and continues to every warship in the fleet since. Every product delivered today must meet exacting warfighter requirements to ensure that we never tarnish that legacy. To do that, we have invested in our Engineers, processes, tooling, and the manufacturing machines needed to efficiently provide new products and deliver legacy products faster and more efficiently. These investments increase our capabilities, capacity, and bring continuous technical advancements to our shipyard customers and the US Navy. This isn’t easy in an environment of continuing resolutions and ever-changing ship procurement delays. It’s vitally important that Congress and the Navy ensure consistent and predictable funding. Still, Entwistle is committed to expanding on the momentum we have already achieved. The Navy's strategic initiatives call for growing the numbers of reliable Destroyers, Amphibs, and Submarines. Entwistle is excited to be part of the solution, delivering the deck equipment, hydraulics, structures, and components needed to grow that fleet.” AWIBC is proud to have Entwistle as a valued member of our coalition.
