You’ve been asked to arrange a team holiday outing this quarter, but how do you plan and organize? Our event managers have a few tips: 1️⃣ "First things first, as soon as you know this event is happening, start planning! Make sure to leave enough time for transportation. Visualize the event from transportation there through departures to be sure you’re not missing any details. Don’t forget to have fun too! " –Eden Karpman, Swingers Dupont Circle 4️⃣ "Everyone loves a goodie bag – put together some creative swag your team will have to commemorate the day." –Bailey Whitnell, Swingers City 5️⃣ "The early bird(ie) gets the worm, now is the time to book your holiday parties. Private events. We love ‘em…but we do so few of them. “Why?” you might ask. It’s pretty simple really. We prioritise our street customers. We’re beyond fortunate to have forged an incredibly successful street trading business. So chasing event revenue at disruption cost to our daily customers isn’t as valuable to me. It’s a privileged position I know, but we’ve worked hard for it. The more a coffee truck doesn’t turn up at their regular spot, the less patient and loyal customers become. We never forget YOU’RE the ones who have made us successful, so we honour that and turn up day after day. We only do 1-3 private events a year, by design. So the events we say yes to are clients we ADORE!! We also want to thank them for their loyalty towards us by doing their special events. I had a great evening last night at this event, meeting some new people and seeing some that I have met before. Before I started as an HR Consultant I really shied away from networking and thought it was a waste of time…over the last few months I have seen a different side to it and now understand the value, especially if you are a small business owner.
