SJI’s IGNITE internship program provides students with the opportunity to network and gain hands-on industry experience. We’re excited to be joined by Drexel University students who have been interning at SJI for the last several months as part of the university’s cooperative education program. Elizabethtown Gas was proud to serve as a sponsor for the 3rd annual charity kickball tournament hosted by Rahway native and Buffalo Bills Lineman Dion Dawkins. Our incredible employees came out in full force, showcasing their athletic skills and team spirit in support of the community. Proceeds from the event went to Dion's Dreamers, a nonprofit Dawkins established to assist those in need, mentor youth, and advocate for vulnerable populations and communities. SJI congratulates Steven Cocchi, senior vice president and chief financial officer, on being elected to the Stockton University Foundation board of directors! An accomplished leader, Steven is a member of the Public Utility Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the State Affairs Committee of the American Gas Association and serves on the board of trustees of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. Steven has been elected alongside Sage Del Valle, co-founder and CEO of Differnt Systems, a technology consulting, development and implementation firm. The Stockton University Foundation is an independent organization comprised of community leaders, Stockton alumni and other friends and supporters, whose sole mission is to support the philanthropic needs of Stockton University. The Foundation supports many programs, student groups, faculty projects and other initiatives, and awards more than $1 million in annual scholarship support. John has been the driving force behind numerous technological advancements that have shaped SJI’s success. He is also a dedicated community leader and mentor, serving as vice president and then president of the American Association of Blacks in Energy - South Jersey Chapter (AABE-SJC), where he helped to establish the annual AABE Scholarship Golf Outing.
