Sonny Clark’s Post

CEO / Founder at Acumen Technology

Call me old-school… But, I’m still a huge believer in conventional planning and goal setting. Once a quarter we get together as a leadership team and brainstorm what must be true to continue moving towards our long term goals. As a team, we create quarterly priorities and assign to team members and share company-wide internally. Great way to stay on track and hold ourselves accountable. Keith Maune and I are now on our second run at this. Few practices have helped us more than this one.

The secret sauce is trust and honesty, so you are harnessing all the brain power in the room. Easy to have a strong personality dominate this kind of discussion and one path forward is all that ever gets seen. Effective management/leadership is a healthy push/pull of opinions and ideas.
