The new $1.99 (FUN.99) Menu is making a lot of noise this week, but what makes it different from all of the other value offerings out there? SONIC CMO Ryan Dickerson explains: “Now more than ever, consumers are focused on affordable food options, but they shouldn’t have to settle for the same old, tired discounts or boring meals. Many restaurant brands are touting value meals and discounts, and you see a lot of recycled ideas with limited options. At SONIC, we wanted to do something different – something fun –, so we focused on variety, which is why we’re introducing the new $1.99 Menu, or what we like to call the FUN.99 Menu. The FUN.99 Menu is all about choice and fun, whether you want any of our dozen shake flavors, a chili cheese coney, or our iconic tots as a midday snack – it’s all there for just $1.99.”

Through the Limeades for Learning initiative, we’ve donated more than $27 million dollars over the past 15 years to ensure teachers and students have the supplies they need in the classroom through our partnership with DonorsChoose. Last week, we expanded support of local education as the SONIC Foundation sponsored 125 educators from more than 80 public school districts across the country and sent them to the Ron Clark Academy Experience in Atlanta. Over two days, the teachers participated in immersive trainings and workshops where they learned powerful teaching techniques to implement in their classrooms, schools and districts. “This year marks the 15th anniversary of Limeades for Learning, and we’re excited to kick it off with such an impactful opportunity for so many teachers,” said Stuart Brown, Executive Director of the SONIC Foundation. “Ron Clark and his methods have transformed the way teachers engage their students, making learning more captivating. Teachers serve as the cornerstones of a child’s development and educational experience, and the SONIC Foundation is honored to invest in this group of educators who will utilize these learnings to have an impact on so many students and communities.”

Happy Valentine's Day! We were thrilled to have the Queen of Country Music, Reba McEntire, partner with us this month to introduce the "Reba's Sweetheart Meal." Paul Raynor and his team at Drive-In #6640 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. hosted Reba and her partner, Rex Linn, a couple weeks back to launch the limited-time meal.

It's National Peanut Butter Day, though we've been celebrating all month! The Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger and Peanut Butter Bacon Shake are the first in a series of insanely craveable flavors we're bringing to drive-ins this year. 🥜🥓

For #GivingTuesday, we’ve partnered with The Coca-Cola Company to donate $1 of every drink sold today, from 11am-8pm, to support public education. That means that each time a limeade or other fountain drink is purchased today between 11am-8pm at participating SONIC Drive-In locations, $1 will be donated to the SONIC Limeades for Learning initiative, up to $200,000.
