Business Card Etiquette 1. Always have one on you 2. Do not give your card out unless it is requested 3. If you’re a digi-cards person, consider keeping the old school paper version for the traditional peeps like me Why is this important? You never know when you will be asked for a business card, I’ve even given one out at the beach, luckily I carry a few on the back of my phone. Most people can read the other person and when they mutually want to exchange cards. When you assume someone wants your card….we all know the saying about assumptions! Digi-cards have one big flaw. Once you import them they are in your contacts, but what if you can’t remember their name- or their business. It’s useless. I’ve trained myself to take a screenshot immediately before importing them, this way I can go back to my pictures if I forget the details. #networking #business #tips

Captivate + grow your audience through brand stories that sell 📚 Storytelling + Messaging Coach ✨ Social Media + Content Creation 📈 Ex Marketing Director turned online growth addict!
On behalf of all business owners everywhere……if you enquire about a product or service, where the price is clearly started, please don’t then 👉🏼 Say you can’t afford it (Or act surprised or go without a conversation about your options) 👉🏼 Ghost 👉🏼 Ask for a discount Whilst we can all live in an abundance mindset of “it doesn’t matter” or “the more leads you generate those things don’t bother you”, it’s not about that. It’s about valuing and respect the time and energy of the business you’re speaking to enough to know that when you enquired, they genuinely wanted to help and support you, giving you their attention and guidance in an attempt to have your back and be in your corner. Whether that business is earning £100 or £100,000,000, shitty etiquette isn’t ok and actually you’re doing yourself no favours by hiding from things you’ve engaged with. So please don’t do it ✌🏼

Notary Tip: Here is the appropriate cadence to follow up with a potential client you are marketing your business to! ❌ Once a month is not adequate. They will never remember you! ❌ “Never” is never the right answer! You can’t expect to build a relationship without a conversation- at minimum! ❌ And everyday is just too aggressive! ✅ The appropriate cadence is a once a week in-person follow up! Remember, this is a top of mind business. Documents come in every second of the day, everyday of the week and your job is to remind them you are available without being a disturbance! This business is so easy because most signing agents just don’t follow up. If you follow up, you can get the business. Following up creates trust and trust creates credibility.
