Jay Kodeswaran has accepted our return offer. What a relief! Over his internship, Jay has become a residential expert in many domains. He is an essential part of our team. How does he become so important as a new grad? It's simple: Jay has the knowledge and the experiences. The requirement is the same for everyone, whether you are an undergrad, a graduate student, a PhD, or a senior employee at big tech. To be effective in a job, you need knowledge and experience. There is a path to get that knowledge and experience -- more internships. Jay walks through his example and demonstrates that it's possible to do many internships over four years in college. The extra benefit of doing many internships is to learn what you like and dislike early on, which is probably one of the most important factors of long-term career success.

We had our first SWE intern this summer, Isaac, who absolutely crushed it. This next generation coming up learning Rust and Python are going to be absolute wizards. I was continually impressed by Isaac's hard work and capabilities. The blog post linked below is a culmination of Isaac's summer work. The dataflow in the blog article uses a Rust library https://lnkd.in/gU2NDqkg from Python using PyO3 to achieve amazingly performant results (you can check out the Python bindings Isaac created here - https://lnkd.in/gPXXrDhP). I think Isaac's post shows the flexibility and extensibility of Bytewax by connecting to a novel data source like Mastadon and leveraging the amazing Python community-developed libraries. Has anyone else found some cool Python libraries leveraging Rust via PyO3?
The dog days of summer are behind us. As the cool breeze of fall begins to sweep in, it’s the perfect time to cozy up and dive into our blog. We’re happy to announce an awesome tech dive written by our summer intern, Isaac Milstein! Probabilistic data structures + Top-K + Mastodon 💛 Bytewax https://lnkd.in/gGmuNwX2

📊 Thrilled to share my recent completion of task 1 as an intern at CODTECH IT SOLUTIONS, focusing on Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) CODTECH IT SOLUTIONS Task One: Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) As part of my internship at , I embarked on a deep dive into a dataset of choice, harnessing the power of Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib. Through meticulous exploration, I uncovered fascinating insights into the data's characteristics, distributions, correlations, and outliers. Leveraging histograms, scatter plots, and heatmaps, I visually depicted my discoveries, laying the foundation for further analysis.

It's #StPatricksDay and this gives us a chance to explore #Luck! It's often said that luck is "what happens when preparation meets opportunity." Luck can also be leveraged by character strengths such as resilience, optimism, and adaptability. These traits enable us to navigate challenges effectively, seize opportunities, and maintain a positive outlook, increasing the likelihood of success - effectively creating our own luck - just listen to Nir Zicherman's experience in this inspiring piece by Rachel Feintzeig! https://lnkd.in/gErnQjxj #beinspired #softskills

All I really need to know I learned at Kindergarten- Robert Fulghum's book title stuck with me because I always feel that we already know how we should conduct ourselves in our personal & professional life. Unfortunately, we keep forgetting these simple lessons giving rise to complex problems. Today I found a different meaning to it. Thiyagarajan Maruthavanan (Rajan) has been saying this simple thing - Always ELI5 ( Explain like I'm 5.) Today I caught him practicing what he preaches - explaining the complex VC world in a simple, entertaining and engaging way - A must read for all who what to know about the business of making money. Keep it simple and real. #businessgrowth #saasgrowth
VC appears as a dark side more because it is opaque. My nephew became curious about VC recently, and then a friend's son secured an internship at a leading VC firm. Both had many questions stemming from common misconceptions. These conversations led to the creation of 'AVC for Kids'. No one has done more to shed light on the VC game than Fred Wilson He has written over 1000 posts in the last 20 years on his blog avc.com. Any question about VC, whether it's the math, chemistry, or psychology, has been answered there. These posts are so comprehensive that they could form several volumes of a VC bible. 'AVC for Kids' consists of answers from avc.com, tailored for a young person's questions. Direct link: https://bit.ly/avcforkids
