Cindy Lemaster, a vice president in our Banking & Financial Services practice, recently participated in awarding $50,000 in scholarships to 32 community volunteers as part of a “Hometown Heroes” awards ceremony.” Cindy is a board member with The Main Line Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on economic empowerment and based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, where we are headquartered. The scholarship awards are an annual program that provides tuition support to local volunteer firefighters and EMTs who work with area fire departments. Since the program’s inception in 2006, the foundation has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships. Cindy said the awards program was inspiring and heartwarming. “It was an honor to present scholarships to these outstanding firefighters and EMTs. Most of them are working, pursuing a college degree and volunteering with their local fire companies—risking their lives on every call. Many also have family members who are emergency first responders. They are very deserving of this support.” The scholarship program is funded through the annual Main Line Run/Walk fundraising event. After seven months he has moved into a full-time Senior Consultant role with us. Previously, he served as a Senior Consultant with EY, where he provided enterprise risk solutions, including SOX compliance, to clients across various industries.
