#Prosertek is proud to announce its participation in two crucial events: the Single and Single Buoy Oil Terminal Operators Conference (SLOM) and the Central American Isthmus Port Meeting (Repica), which will take place from September 25th to 29th, 2023 in Rio de Janeiro and Managua respectively. These events represent the perfect scenario for the presentation of the latest technologies and the offer of specialized products and services for the #Maritime and port sector in Latin America and globally. First of all, the XIX edition of #SLOM offers us a space to share experiences and knowledge acquired in the operation and maintenance of Maritime Oil Terminals with the purpose of making our #MaritimeOil Ports safer, more efficient, cleaner and more competitive. On the other hand, the XLV edition of #Repica lends itself to the exchange of solutions to regional problems related to #PortManagement and #PortOperations, environment, advances in port technology, organizational and legislative improvements, compliance with international standards, modernization plans, innovations, among others. Thanks to the support of the Americas, our exhibition will have a significant impact internationally by providing a conducive business environment for expert-led talks, networking opportunities and innovative solutions that will drive the success of the maritime and port industry.

“We see the ocean like our #secondhome that needs to be protected,” said Susama, SVP of PTT Exploration and Production PLC. Marine life has been rapidly dwindling due to the unprecedented #oildrilling and #overfishing. PTTEP, a concerned stakeholder, has sought to address this burgeoning problem swiftly. At PTTEP, the mission is to preserve the #longevity of the ocean’s #biodiversity. To restore the equilibrium of the ocean’s ecosystem, the team conducts research, development projects and demarcates areas for #marinelifeconservation. As we approach the #SL25 2024 submission deadline, we want to celebrate PTTEP's ability to marry both #profit and #purpose. In this video, Susama articulates PTTEP’s challenges while pursuing goals related to #environmental #sustainability and how they have navigated these challenges. Watch the video to find out more. 🌬️ Exciting News in the Maritime Industry! 🚢 I am thrilled to share the latest collaboration between ANEMOI Marine and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group. These two industry leaders are teaming up to develop cutting-edge rotor sail designs for LNG carriers (LNGC). This collaboration marks a significant step towards more sustainable and efficient shipping. Rotor sails, inspired by the power of the wind, hold incredible promise for reducing carbon emissions and enhancing the energy efficiency of large vessels. ANEMOI Marine has been at the forefront of developing and commercializing this innovative technology, while Hudong-Zhonghua is renowned for its expertise in shipbuilding. As we navigate the challenges of climate change and growing demand for cleaner energy solutions, initiatives like this demonstrate our commitment to greener and more sustainable maritime transportation. Rotor sails offer the potential to harness wind power and reduce the environmental impact of LNG carriers, which are vital for transporting liquefied natural gas. Let's keep the wind of change blowing in our sails towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable maritime industry! 🌊⛵ #Sustainability #Maritime #Innovation #CleanEnergy

Had an amazing time presenting at the 19th IKI-SEA Research Colloquium (IRC) in Bangkok last May 18th! My presentation on "Knowledge Creation in Post-Acquisition Integration: A Critical Realism Approach" explored three oil terminals. Critical realism is a fascinating approach to understanding reality and combining it with TRIZ can lead to solving business problems and generating new knowledge. #oil terminals #CriticalRealism #TRIZ #KnowledgeCreation #Innovation

A quick #ArcticLNG2-related logistics update. More topside process modules are on their way from China to Belokamenka, the latter being the location of Novatek's large-tonnage marine structures (#GBS-based #LNG trains) fabrication complex. The #Audax and #Pugnax departed Penglai yesterday (6th January) and appear to be heading together towards the #NorthernSeaRoute (#NSR). Their ETA at Belokamenka is 17th February. In all likelihood, each of these ice-class Arc 7 heavy transport vessels is carrying one module for #ALNG2 Train 2. The Train 2 #GBS (#GBS-2) currently has 11 of 14 modules installed on it. Thus, two modules are now on the way, with one more to come.

There is a consensus in the international community that geological repositories provide the necessary long-term safety and security to isolate long-lived radioactive waste. ☢️ However, despite the technical merit and safety of repositories, challenges remain in many countries. These challenges include building and maintaining public confidence, the availability of skilled staff and the transfer of knowledge, as well as the involvement of younger professionals. The 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗜𝗖𝗚𝗥-𝟳) will convene relevant stakeholders to discuss how to empower progress in developing deep geological repositories (DGRs). The #ICGR7 sessions will address: ✔️ The role of the younger generation in radioactive waste management ✔️ Lessons learnt and experiences in developing the licensing of DGR facilities ✔️ Setting the foundations for initiating DGR programmes ✔️ Siting approaches for DGRs ✔️ Cross-cutting aspects and societal considerations ✔️ Fostering the use of existing R&D facilities and international co-operation The conference will take place on 27-31 May 2024 in Busan, Korea, and will also feature a site visit to the Wolsong LILW Disposal Centre in Gyeongju.
