🌍 #eFTI4EU Technical Experts Convene in #Helsinki for Key Discussions and Solution Finding On June 12-13, our #eFTI4EUProject team of technical experts gathered in Helsinki for an intensive two-day hybrid co-development meeting. This event was pivotal for our project, focusing on crucial aspects like #eFTI data, data models, interface exchange mechanisms, and the reference implementation. The creation of the eFTI Gate, a crucial part of the electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) system, is one of the meeting's major highlights. Assuring interoperability and system adaptability need this effort. Deep analyses into the register of identities and fundamental data components were discussed, highlighting the significance of accurate and dependable data management within the eFTI architecture. Additionally, eFTI4EU team was dedicated to creating also a robust testing process and environment: crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of the system before its full-scale deployment. Hearing all about VXLAN BGP-EVPN and don't know where to start? Join us in our upcoming session on "Deploying and Managing a VXLAN BGP-EVPN Fabric using NDFC". Session Date and Time: April 9 10 AM - 11 AM PST Session Abstract: VXLAN BGP-EVPN is becoming an industry standard design architecture by providing an overlay control-plane technology for an underlay IGP network thus improving the scalability, efficiency, and agility of your Data Center network. Implementing this can seem complex, but with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC), VXLAN BGP-EVPN fabric deployment is completely streamlined, enabling new fabrics to be provisioned in minutes. In this session, we will cover both greenfield and brownfield deployment processes and also showcase the extensive network management and monitoring offerings included with NDFC. Open RAN has become one of the most important and contentious topics in the telecom industry and its impact can be seen all over the world. But will it live up to its potential and can new technologies, such as the RAN intelligent controller (RIC), have any meaningful impact? With commercial deployments now starting to pick up, has the industry overcome the new test and integration challenges? Definitely, there would be more questions on the topic "Open RAN". Let's join the "Open RAN Summit" and connect to clear the doubts on Open RAN. Lets Join the online event on 14th and 15th May for TelecomTV’s 5th annual Open RAN Summit, as we delve into telco deployment scenarios for existing brownfield sites, re-evaluate the potential of the RIC and look ahead at the longer-term roadmap for Open RAN deployment.

Check out our latest research results 💡 Abstract: An effective isolation among workloads within a shared and possibly contended compute environment is a crucial aspect for industry and academia alike to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.Modern ecosystems offer a wide range of approaches and solutions to ensure isolation for a multitude of different compute resources. Past experiments have verified the effectiveness of this resource isolation with micro benchmarks. The effectiveness of QoS isolation for intricate workloads beyond micro benchmarks however, remains an open question. This paper addresses this gap by introducing a specific example involving a database workload isolated using Cgroups from a disruptor contending for CPU resources. Despite the even distribution of CPU isolation limits among the workloads, our findings reveal a significant impact of the disruptor on the QoS of the database workload. To illustrate this, we present a methodology for quantifying this isolation, accompanied by an implementation incorporating essential instrumentation through eBPF. This not only highlights the practical challenges in achieving robust QoS isolation but also emphasizes the need for additional instrumentation and realistic scenarios to comprehensively evaluate and address these challenges.
