It's so absolutely radical to have been a part of #opentelemetry for the past 2.5 years (not even ground floor!) and help it evolve from a promising but deeply incompletely OSS project to a rocket ship that's blasting into the early majority enterprise market. At Kubecon EU this year, whose attendees are usually a leading indicator of the industry at large, it was palpable. Everyone knew OpenTelemetry was the thing to use, and they were either already adopting it, or it was on their near-term roadmap. All industries, all personas, all verticals. Everything. Two years ago I spent more of my time in booth duty convincing people of the value of OpenTelemtry. This year, every person I talked to at the booth asked if we support OpenTelemetry data. What a wild shift.
