We're thrilled to announce the promotion of Brandy Nannini to the role of Chief Government Affairs Officer here at Smart Start! This strategic move underscores our commitment to advancing government relations and advocacy in the fight against impaired driving.   With over 30 years of expertise in preventing impaired driving and a proven track record in federal and state government relations, Brandy brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her new position. Her accomplishments include spearheading the passage of crucial legislation, such as the federal .08 blood alcohol concentration (BAC) law and ignition interlock laws. With roles at Mother Against Drunk Driving (MAAD) and Responsibility.org, she led efforts against impaired driving, founding NASID. In 16 months at Smart Start, she has strengthened coalitions and expanded ignition interlock usage.
