Funny, but true. It doesn’t take much bravery to try something you’re sure you’ll be good at. Plus, that something you think you’re going to suck at you might actually excel in. You also don’t have to be good at something to have fun doing it. Never trying new things means never learning your true potential and never sharing those hidden gifts with the world. So try something new in this upcoming new year!

This is one of my favorite quotes. It reminds me to not take myself so seriously. In this age of information overload, we THINK that we should know EVERY-THING! 👏🏾 for being open to learning something new. This is a trick...don't take the bait! Thinking this way will rob you of your joy, peace, and your ability to reach your fullest potential. When did we throw learning out the door? Learning something new most often will start with failure. Yet, you problem solve and go back to the drawing board with your new insights and try again leveraging your new insight. You adjust your approach according to your new insight. I'm not saying that the outcome will always be what you desire. However, YOU will be a much better person because you had the courage to suck at something new! You'll build confidence and belief in yourself to know that you have the ability to figure things out and to do hard things.

Always easier said than done, isn't it? 🤣 Starting my own business has definitely sparked a lot of 'fear of failing' within me. Sometimes the thought of failing is enough to make people quit before they ever even start! For myself, it's not that I'm afraid to suck at something new. It's what I feel my close family and friends will think about me. But hey, I'm still pushing on! 💪 😂 Great post to start the day.

Be brave enough to embrace imperfection when trying something new. It's okay to start from scratch and learn along the way. The journey of growth often begins with a bit of courage and a willingness to embrace the unknown.

I am living this right now, and when we are willing to learn new things, we can possibly have valuable insight due to beginner’s mind. We also show others that it is okay to try something new, to learn and grow.
