Linkedin is the only platform I haven't seen third-party disputes become a hot topic on. Why is this not a larger conversation on here? It's crazy to see what some restaurants are doing to try and solve this issue. Pictured is a restaurant that used a Pen and Paper (as a millennial, I'm still not sure what that is) for a sign up sheet for drivers. Instead of leaving the bag on the counter or in an open shelf, this requires the driver to "accept" the order which prevents simple theft and can be used in dispute cases to make sure the restaurant isn't left "holding the bag". Multiple McDonalds franchisee's have reported over $600/mo in lost sales due to consumer refund requests. There are restaurants who have set up cameras that can visibly show all the items being packed into a bag and then a consumer reports an item missing and gets a partial refund. The restaurant provides the evidence to dispute this. But because they are "over the limit" of disputed charges for the month, they're auto-denied. But even when they are accepted when camera evidence is provided, that's now another cost associated with marketplaces; a part time person to fill out all these disputes and append/upload camera footage. There are some tech companies that are focusing on this and I'm sure they will comment on this post (they should!), there just seems to be very little conversation on this topic, yet it's the #1 pain point I'm hearing from SMB restauranteurs across the country. Would love to hear about any similar stories in the comments and different tactics and strategies you all have seen used.

What do you think about this? QR codes: you either love them or you don't. But no one can deny they add flavor to your marketing strategy, just like that controversial pineapple on your pizza. ▸ https://lttr.ai/ARdoH #DriveConversions #QrCodes #Online #Sales #GetCustomers #NeighborhoodCoffeeShop
