When service disruptions occur, the onus is on your support teams to promptly restore services. However, the real challenge lies in effectively communicating with customers during such outages, which can either make or break their experience. Your team must promptly and empathetically address the burning question of "When will my service be restored?" while having the necessary processes and tools in place to facilitate this. While this situation may seem dire, it presents an opportunity to establish trust with customers and demonstrate why they made the right choice in doing business with you. Achieving this requires utilizing the five Cs of effective communication: remaining calm, conveying clarity, being candid, showing compassion, and maintaining consistency. These principles can help you deliver the appropriate information in the correct manner and at the right time during critical moments. #effectivecomunication #servicerestoration #customersatisfaction #businessopportunities #salesforcecrm #salesforcecommunity #digitalexperience #areyatechnologies Learn more about it here: https://sforce.co/3Ubmoau

What is failover connectivity and why is it important to your business? At its most basic, internet failover is a backup connection that’s ready and waiting in the event your primary connection fails. Say you’re working through video training at work and suddenly the network cuts out – your clip stops loading and your learning is interrupted. Suddenly, your failover service automatically connects, the video resumes, and you can continue working. In most offices, there’s a good chance that more than just your video was interrupted. During this outage, your files stopped syncing, your phone call dropped, and draft emails weren’t saved. If you’re lucky enough to have a failover solution in place, this was just a temporary blip in your day. In some cases, you might not even know until your IT Team reports the outage later. The recent AT&T outage reminded us of our vulnerability in an uber-connected world. I wonder if the company will see a decrease in subscriptions after potentially losing the confidence of its customers. Here are five critical lessons we should all take to heart: 1️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 No system is bulletproof. The outage underscored the critical need for businesses to weave multiple layers of redundancy into their critical infrastructures. It's not just about having a backup; it's about ensuring continuity when the unexpected strikes. 2️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 Innovation dazzles, but maintenance keeps us in the game. Regular checks and updates are the unacknowledged heroes that keep our systems running smoothly, even as we chase the next big thing. 3️⃣ 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗞𝗲𝘆 Clear, concise, and timely communication with customers can turn a potential PR disaster into a trust-building moment in a crisis. 4️⃣ 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 Every outage, every failure, holds valuable lessons. It's an opportunity to analyze, adapt, and improve. Ignoring these lessons is a recipe for recurrence. 5️⃣ 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 The 'it won't happen to us' mindset is a dangerous gamble. Preparing for the worst-case scenario ensures that your business can weather any storm. The AT&T outage isn't just a technical failure; it is a wake-up call to consider business continuity.
