🌟 Investor Insights: Putting Investors First 🌟 I Had a great conversation recently with a potential investor that really highlighted why integrity and investor alignment are crucial in syndication deals. Here's the gist: ▪ 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: This investor was excited but new to the game. He wanted short-term returns to test the waters. ▪ 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: The current project, though exciting, was a long-term development. It wouldn't meet his short-term goals. ▪ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹: Instead of pushing a mismatched opportunity, I advised against investing. Why? Because trust is built on honesty, not just capital raised. ▪ 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: Always prioritize investor needs over the deal itself. It's about long-term relationships and mutual success. When considering syndication opportunities, here are three key things passive investors should always consider: 1️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻: Does the deal align with your financial goals and timeline? Short-term vs. long-term returns can vary significantly. 2️⃣ 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝘃𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱: Understand the project's risk profile.
