On Wednesday, I had the privilege and honor of being inducted into the Skal International Greater Washington, D.C. at the beautiful Patterson Mansion. Skål International Official is the oldest and only professional organization of hospitality and tourism individuals promoting global tourism and friendship, uniting all sectors of the industry. Skal’s over 11,971 members come from all over the world, representing hotels, restaurants, DMO’s, travel agencies, and more to do business together, discuss challenges, and advance the industry forward. As I continue to grow within the hospitality and tourism industry in DC and internationally, I’m grateful to Skal International, which I know will play a pivotal role in my professional development and career. Even more so, I was grateful and proud to be inducted by my mentor and friend (and boss!), Andres Omar Hayes, who is always supporting, challenging, and providing me with opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. Skal’s motto is “doing business amongst friends” — which is something that resonates well with the work that we do at Airtifae Group. Looking forward to what’s to come. Skål! Ana G.
