Take a look at our latest warehouse project that we completed this month. It showcases the precision of our trusted RTC 360 scanner. We recently conducted a second round of laser scanning, covering 21,000 sqft additional to the 30,000 sqft that we had already scanned and modeled for a Manufacturing Facility located in Pennsylvania. Our team modeled all disciplines in Revit with a Level of Detail 300, including rigid piping and conduits of all sizes. Our model is now ready to be used by different subcontractors to support their 3D model coordination process. We’re always amazed at how accurately existing conditions can be represented when we match the most adequate technology (Lidar scanning in this case), experts and modeling team. Explore the benefits of Scan to BIM and witness the precision of Lidar scanning in this project. More info at https://www.sirvey.us/ #SirVey #LaserScanning #ScantoBIM

✅Slam100 is capable of starting from an unknown location and environment, simultaneously positioning and acquiring spatial three-dimensional data and building an incremental map of the surrounding environment during the movement process, which is suitable for various underground space application scenarios. ✅ Due to the poor visibility and complex structure of the underground garage, it is difficult to use conventional instruments to collect data during 3D modeling. The 3D laser scanning technology uses a non-contact measurement method to accurately obtain the spatial geometric information of the measured object. Its dense point cloud data can quickly reconstruct the 3D model of the object, and can accurately measure every corner of the underground garage to achieve precise positioning inside the parking lot. ➡ Advantages of Slam100: -Low Equipment Cost -High Precision -High Resolution -Efficient and Productive -No GNSS Required Signal Discover more: https://lnkd.in/gRvMRNR9 #mapping #lidarscanner #foxtech #lidar #laserscanning #scanning #garage #underground #pointcloud #3dscanning #3dmapping

Creating realistic, virtual representations of buildings or sites by means of laser point clouds (LiDAR technology) and/or photos from multiple angles (photogrammetry). Reality Capture models may also be geotagged, BIM compatible and photorealistic 🏗 Reality capture is the process of creating virtual 3D models of real world objects (e.g. buildings or sites) by scanning and/or photographing the object from multiple angles. The data is typically captured by means of laser 3D scanners or cameras, which are either handheld, terrestrial or attached to a vehicle or drone 📹 _ LOOKING TO SEE IF THIS IS A FIT? Thirty things you maybe didn't know you could do with #360imagery No 16 0f 30.- 360 Photogrammetry and 3D Modelling of Glazing Windows , ornamental glazing, even stained glass, especially those artisan Victorian structures withs lot of ironwork and fenestration detail is a nightmare for photogrammetry and LiDAR. and #scantoBIM. Reflections, cleaning point clouds can drive even the pure of heart insane. One quicker (er) way of dealing with this is to use AI Masking on your 360 pano image. (That is if the image is aligned with the point cloud. For some scanners it might not be as good as you think though. and old story for Reality Capture bods.) AI masking does an amazing job of cutting through the noise and then you can make all the points in that mask one colour. Most good Point cloud editing tools allow you to select points by colour and edit those points.. DELETE , bish- bash -bosh. Two benifits Mask out points on the glass which will; confuse your registration and tie ones. Method actually works for photogrammetry and LiDAR.. Sometime you need to colorise a point cloud to clean it. For More tips and tricks follow me on You Tube, subscribe or just DM me. Happy to help where I can https://lnkd.in/ej2hUFc8

LiDAR and Photogrammetry walk into a bar... and start measuring everything! 🍻📐 Clients often ask me when to use Matterport and when to opt for LiDAR. So let's figure out the right tool for your next project. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging): Accuracy: Highly accurate, uses laser pulses to measure distances. Speed: Quick data capture, ideal for large-scale projects. Detail: Captures fine details, even in poor lighting. Cost: Can be expensive due to advanced technology. Photogrammetry: Technique: Uses photographs to create 3D models. Flexibility: Great for smaller areas, requires good lighting. Cost: More cost-effective, utilizing standard cameras. Data: Produces rich visual data, but less precise than LiDAR. Example: Imagine you need a detailed model of a historical building. LiDAR will give you precise measurements, capturing every nook and cranny. Photogrammetry will provide a visually rich model, perfect for visual presentations. Which one to choose? LiDAR is your go-to for high accuracy, creating precise 3D models in Revit, though it comes with a higher price tag. Photogrammetry if you need good visuals, less precise than LiDAR 3D models, and is available at a lower price tag. Both tools have their strengths, and the choice depends on your project’s needs.
