The cost of loading and hauling in the mining industry can vary significantly depending on various factors such as the type of mine, the equipment used, the distance of haulage, and the material being transported. However, it’s generally a significant portion of the operational costs of a mine. Here are some key pointers: -The loading and hauling of material typically represent between 35–55% of the operational costs of an open pit mine. -In underground mining, the average haulage and hoisting costs ranged from $0.1135 to $0.4025 per ton of ore mined. -The cost can also be influenced by operational characteristics and site geometry. If such are huge costs associated with such critical key activity of the mine that we cant avoid. How best can we utilise the mine processes in this area to cut costs? What is the impact of investing in technology to automate the process of making decision in load and haul process. What is the role of resources in improving efficiencies?
