The U.S. Department of Transportation announced numerous changes to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Programs that went into effect May 9, 2024. Notable changes to the DBE regulations include: ✅updates to personal net worth and program size thresholds, ✅certification requirements and procedural rules, and ✅increasing flexibility for DBE firms and funding recipients. Shareholder and Chair of the Space and Satellite Industry Group Skip Smith is quoted in a Law360 Pulse article titled "Greenberg Traurig Nabs Space Pro." Skip recently represented a private astronaut on the Axiom AX-1 mission, the first entirely private mission to the International Space Station.
