Franchising, it's a word that can sound intimidating, but it's really just a stepping stone to bigger things. When Alex Gingold and their team started their donut business, they knew they had something special. But they also knew they could only take it so far on their own. They had two paths in front of them. One was to keep growing with corporate stores. They had some great connections with Simon Premium Outlets and other malls. But they also knew that their success came from being part of the community, from giving back and doing fundraisers. Running company stores all over the U.S. seemed like a tough task. So, they started to learn about franchising. They realized that having a local presence in neighborhoods across the country could be a huge opportunity. And more importantly, it was the best way to really connect with their customers. Because at the end of the day, it's all about the people who walk through their doors and enjoy their donuts. Working with nonprofits and business owners to build a strong financial foundation and future growth plans through customized bookkeeping and accounting support.
"Think Big" In the realm of small businesses, 'thinking big' often seems like a luxury. But, from my own experience and those of my clients, I can assert that it's a necessity for remarkable growth. I recall a local bakery in our neighborhood, known for its pastries and homely feel. They had a loyal customer base, yet the owner always envisioned more. He didn’t see his bakery as just a local shop; he saw it as the potential origin of a culinary brand known for quality and innovation. This transformation wasn't just about increasing sales; it was about realizing a vision that stretched well beyond their initial operations. This story is a testament to the power of thinking big. It's about seeing your small business not just as it is, but as it could be. #nonprofit #nonprofits #smallbusiness #supportsmallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #smallbusinesssupport #shopsmallbusiness #supportsmallbusinesses #smallbusinesses #smallbusinessowners

I once banged on 1,000s of doors across 9 different neighborhoods in 3 weeks. Here are the 4 lessons I learned on my way to tasting sweet victory. When I was 10 years old, I raised over $6,000 for a charity in a bat-a-thon competition. It was the most in the league—twice as much as the second runner-up. My motivation? The grand prize, an autographed bat from Alex Rodriguez, my favorite baseball player at the time. What did I learn? 1) Consistency Compounds: every day after school for a few weeks in a row, I went door banging. I left no stone unturned and had a relentless drive towards achieving my vision. It’s hard to be successful trying things once. Increasing your return on luck by expanding your surface area for opportunities actually works. 2) Follow Up Matters: The sales I relished most were the houses I followed up on who didn’t donate the first time around. There’s no better feeling than closing the person that says “come back later”. 3) Leverage B2C to go B2B: once I started winning on the ground floor, I got connected to businesses. $25 checks in the neighborhood turned to $250 checks in the office. Once you do something on small scale, there’s probably a bigger channel to sell through. 4) Bigger Purpose: for me, it wasn’t just about raising the most amount of money, it was about having higher calling. ⚾️ 🏟️ A-Rod, I sacrificed a lot for you. And in return, you helped me earn a skillset I still use to this day — Ultimately to help others walk a little further on the dreams that matter most to them.

Imagine being part of a mission so profound, it reshapes the way we tackle hunger in the United States. Enter Meals of Hope, a nonprofit organization that's rewriting the rules. Their ingenious approach? Franchising their meal packing initiatives. Franchising, often associated with for-profit ventures, might seem like an odd choice for a nonprofit. However, with the guidance of top-notch franchise attorneys and consultants, Meals of Hope has successfully crafted a corporate structure that supports their altruistic cause, while also making room for profitable franchises. The role of a franchisee in their system is beautifully simple. Their primary tasks? Client capture and event planning. Franchisees are tasked with seeking out organizations - be it houses of worship, schools, businesses, or civic organizations - ready to lend a hand in ending hunger in their communities. Once these partnerships are forged, the franchisees shift to orchestrating meal packing events. Meals of Hope's innovative strategy is a testament to the power of unconventional thinking in addressing pervasive societal issues. Repost this if you're passionate about ending hunger in your community and want to learn more about how you can make a difference through franchising with Meals of Hope.
