Every year, October 10 is recognized as #WorldMentalHealthDay. Mental health conditions affect millions of people worldwide and its ASPPH’s goal to reduce barriers that prevent people from seeking help. Last May during Mental Health Awareness Month, ASPPH began our campaign - Mental Health for All: Equity, Access, and Inclusivity. To support this cause, we created a toolkit which includes resources, tips for maintaining good mental health, and more. Together, we can make a positive impact on mental health, which benefits all of public health. https://lnkd.in/g3yMD-f2

While approximately 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental health challenges, many don’t seek mental health support. The barriers to seeking support aren’t always about cost and access; often, people don’t believe their problems are severe enough for professional help. Our ready-made media campaign called I AM MORE motivates audiences to seek support by focusing on the symptoms of their mental health challenges, such as frequent feelings of anger, rather than the general term of “mental health conditions.” Read more about the strategy behind this campaign: https://bit.ly/4b1SsnK #MentalHealthCommunication #MentalHealthCampaign

On the 10th October every year, the World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day. The theme for 2023 is 'Mental health is a universal human right'. Mental health problems impact everyone, by existing in our lives, families, workplaces and communities. We need to work together as individuals and as a society to prevent mental ill-health. World Mental Health Day is also a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling. Some important helplines to call if you are in distress are: 🧡NHS 24 – 111 (or 0845 46 47 in Wales) 💚Samaritans – 116123 (or 0808 164 0123 for Welsh speakers) 💜Breathing Space (Scotland only) – 0800 83 85 87 💛Lifeline (NI only) – 0808 808 8000 💙NAMI (USA only) – 800-950-6264 or text 988 Together, we can break down the stigma surrounding mental health and save lives. #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters

At Ecomaze Pads, we understand the importance of well-being, not just physical but also mental 🤗 . During this Mental Health Awareness Month, we stand with the #NoMindLeftBehind movement. Just like access to essential hygiene products is crucial, so is access to quality mental healthcare. Yet, millions struggle with stigma and barriers to care. This month, let's pledge to: Open the conversation: Talk openly about mental health and encourage others to seek help if needed. Challenge stigma: Break down misconceptions around mental health conditions. Support resources: Share information about local mental health services and support groups. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels empowered to care for their mental well-being, just like their physical health.

Mental health is not just for the sick… It’s applicable to each and everyone of us who have a 🧠 At times our mental health will be thriving, other times barely surviving… So we need to nurture it, learn about it and prioritise it, just as we do our physical health. Kontor invited us to speak today for #mentalhealthawarenessweek and I have a few takeaways to share… 🗓️Firstly, mental health awareness campaigns are great, but we need to make mental health a focus throughout the year… 🗣️Secondly, after our presentation the team volunteered questions and provided personal insight infront of their peers…those small acts are the social cues, we as humans, observe for when seeking a comfortable space to know what or who is safe for when we might need it… 🌎 Lastly, we still have shocking statistics regarding mental health and fatality but I believe that organisations just like Kontor…who don’t just talk about it…but actively demonstrate how they prioritise their people's whole health are the ones who are going to change the world…..
