Last week, we published a TikTok video that attracted thousands of 'likes' and has been seen by almost 2m people. The topic? Slang and how it differs across the generations! Slang is something that fascinates English language students - perhaps because it is viewed as the essence of 'real' English. But is it professional? What do you think? Is there a place for 'slang' in the workplace or is that idea just delulu? (You'll need to watch the video to find out what that word means!) #KaplanLovesEnglish #KaplanCareerSuccess

Hello, LinkedIn Community! I am thrilled to share the remarkable journey of our community, TalkWithMe, which has been flourishing over the past three months! Established on May 26th, 2023, TalkWithMe was made of a shared passion for language learning of my Japanese friend and me. Our mission was simple yet profound: to provide a safe space for English learners to enhance their speaking skills with fellow learners. Our journey began with ten participants from two countries, Indonesia and Japan. 🇮🇩🇯🇵 These early days were marked by the exchange of cultural insights, language learning, and friendships. A Glimpse into Our Community: >> Community Focus: Our focus has always been on providing a supportive and inclusive environment. TalkWithMe is where learners from various backgrounds gather to connect and improve their language skills. >> Breakout Rooms: We facilitate one-on-one conversations that last for about an hour. This format allows each participant to engage deeply, enabling meaningful discussions and skill improvement. >> Dynamic Topics: Every meeting will always discuss a topic to create an engaging conversations. While our community is currently small, our passion for growth is big.
