Over the past week, I've been blessed to share space with some of the most creative, insightful, and inspired people in our industry - reviewing bold, powerful and industry shaping work! As I touch back down in Atlanta, I am filled with gratitude. Simon Cook thank you for the opportunity to be a jurist for the #Entertainment category at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity! The work shared by our global community is tilting the axis of our industry, and I am so honored to have been chosen to play a small part in 2024! Gratitude for an amazing jury experience and our president Geoff Edwards! The maturity and intellectual honesty of the jury filled me with joy! Thank you! Gratitude for my 'girls', Katie Williams and Sherina Smith, who are boldly leading their companies to unlock brands as a force for good! Gratitude for Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA) and the playbook program! I had no idea Cannes even existed as an early career marketer! The work of BECA to provide access and opportunity for the next generation of leaders is second to none! Well done Warren Cochrane and Lisa Kirkland, you truly made me proud! Gratitude for Damaune Journey and 72andSunny for recognizing that there was a 'Sports' gap at Cannes - and filling it! Sport Beach was a repeat MVP- not only an amazing experience, but one that pushes all of us to simply 'do better' because... everyone watches women's sports! Thank you Gary Vaynerchuk for the best airplane 'read' in years! Grateful for the space to reconnect with partners, deals that are 'cooking', and a world more inspired by the dreamers - and doers - in our industry!

What an amazing first month at Fiserv! What made it amazing?… the people… at every location, every partner, every member of our marketing and communications community, every managemet committee member! Thank you for embracing me (and my mini me during take our kids to work day) as I begin what will be an epic journey at an amazing company. Epic, because of the people!

I'm honored to announce I’ll be serving as a Juror at Cannes Lions 2024. I can’t wait to assess the groundbreaking work that will set the bar for creative excellence in Entertainment. Fiserv welcomes Shannon Watkins as EVP, Chief Marketing Officer. Shannon brings to Fiserv more than 20 years of experience leading marketing at some of the world’s most iconic brands. Most recently, Shannon was Global Chief Marketing Officer of Jordan Brand at Nike, and she previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Aflac and held leadership positions at The Coca-Cola Company, Kraft and Procter & Gamble, among others. Shannon succeeds Leigh Asher, who is retiring from Fiserv as EVP, Chief Marketing Officer. During more than two decades at the company, she has led brand, marketing and communications, establishing the company as one of the most recognized and admired brands in global commerce and fintech.
