Eastern Europe on the crest of the solar business wave
The boom in solar installations in Eastern Europe was the main focus of the Intersolar 2024 exhibition, which ended in Munich. A team of specialists from #SUNTERRA, one of the largest Bulgarian companies in the sector, was also part of the event.
The event took place from 19th to 21st June in the German city of Munich.
According to the organisers, in the last year alone, over 1 GW of PV installations have been put into operation in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Poland, making the region a serious factor on the international map.
Traditionally, the number of exhibitors from this part of the world has also been increasing in recent years, from software manufacturers to equipment manufacturers and entire photovoltaic parks, the show reports.
For SUNTERRA, this is its second participation in the most prestigious international forum. Over the course of two days, the company's experts exchanged experiences with their counterparts from around the world, saw and discussed the latest scientific developments and got a feel for the latest technological innovations being developed by the solar industry.
Intersolar is the world's largest solar technology event. For 30 years, under the motto "Connecting the PV Business", it has brought together equipment manufacturers, representatives from solar energy generating companies and scientific experts to chart the way forward for the industry in the years to come.
This year's show featured around 1,500 exhibitors across 111,000 square metres and attracted more than 120,000 visitors from around the world.
