The book I published in Korea last month is now finally available for purchase on Amazon. This is a book that can be of great reference when trying to develop a new shipyard in a country that seeks national economic development by fostering the shipbuilding industry. If you have any questions about the content after purchasing the book, please contact me, the author, and I will respond at any time.

I was reading the book “Ganbatte: The Japanese Art of Doing Your Best with What You Have,” written by Nobuo Suzuki. And I want to share what I have recently learned and has been a true source of inspiration in my work and personal life: “Ganbatte”. Let’s briefly explore what it means and how we can apply it to our everyday life as programmers.

"Shipping and Logistics in Malaysia" is written with a semi-empirical approach. The book refers to cases, authoritative articles from reputable journals and books. However, reference is also made to statutes, guidelines, online news, white papers, government reports, and policymakers reports. This book will be a definitive reference on topics related to shipping and logistic laws in Malaysia. https://lnkd.in/gYcRTjvj

Happy to share the published version of my review of the new and very timely Manga: A Critical Guide, just published in the East Asian Journal of Popular Culture. This book is both a great introduction to the manga medium and the entire universe of Japanese comics, and a very useful manual for educators who may be looking for ways to incorporate manga into lesson plans. It cannot address every possible question or topic, but right now, I can say it should be the first place to turn to if you want to know more! [If you do not have a subscription and would like to read the review, please let me know!] https://lnkd.in/efVJ8635

3 Pieces of Wisdom: 1. Without the small and insignificant the vast, infinite, and eternal mean nothing and can’t exist. 2. Your character is more important than your accomplishments. 3. Everyone can mean everything to the someone they serve. Merry Christmas! For more from this wise guy, I hope you'll pick up a copy of "A Note from the Author." This reminds me of the knowledge-based view in strategy. One reason why coordination and knowledge sharing is smoother inside than outside the organization is because of Moqi. Not sure if work-from-anywhere may dilute this benefit. If you'd like to understand management in China, Management and Organization Review is the prime outlet.
Have you had the magical experience of feeling the same way about something / someone as your colleague does without saying a word? If yes, it is called "Moqi" in Chinese. This paper defines what Moqi is (or is not) and propose its antecedents and consequences. I hope you find the paper interesting to read!

Juggler and lion tamer. I started out life as a journalist but found my vocation in education; multi-tasking, problem solving and becoming the 'go to person'.
Didn't expect to enjoy this book quite as much as I am. Well played, Mr Sparrow! The analogies are very helpful in understanding regulation as a form of craftsmanship and for challenging assumptions and inertia.
