About 10 days ago the folks at Casa Verde Capital provided their quarterly update on cannabis. It underscores and further enhances my bullishness on the sector. While I think some of these statistics are incorrect, let's look at the general themes: 1. Look at how far we have come in just seven short years! 2. When governments globally (and other organizations) understand the scope of tax revenue and job creation which can be fostered with cannabis, things will change. 3. The cumulative captial invested in the sector has not began to tap the US Capital Market. When it does, cannabis will dominate the CPG landscape. 4. The market is growing and will continue to grow as we reach more patients and users. 5. If we could collectively get off our asses and stop fighting one another, we could make a significant positive change globally. -- The negative sentiment in the past couple of years has been grueling. But when you take a step back—and I'd encourage all of us to do that—you'll see the big picture. And that big picture is BRIGHT and EXCITING. Happy 4th of July everyone 🇺🇸 Repost this ♻️ and spread some brightness around the industry today.
AND all of this without any institutional participation. 90% of the capital available to fund this industry is on the sidelines. That Tsunami is coming. Show me ANY other industry that had its hands tied like this that made that much progress........the future is bright no doubt
Apple participating in cannabis? They allow cannabis apps instead of banning? Is that the participation they are referring to?
How do they define “corporate participation” as I’m curious how Apple is involved? Seth Yakatan
So amazing with people still in prison and many more to come! Congrats to the industrial prison complex and all major players for a big win! Reaping tax dollars from cann*bis to leverage more resources for manicipal police enforcement. 🫡👏💨🤡

3wPossible Firestarter I hate to be a drag, but, didn't Casa Verde dump ~$50M into Franwell, and yet, METRC still has to address some elephants in the room, namely Horrid latency, drops of connectivity, CSV upload reject issues, API calls need improvement, and so on. What's up with that? When I was under contract consulting with METRC in 2018, 19, these were highlighted issues. Yet, they still persist today. The money is there for allocation, yet, it's not done. A little money into some infrastructure, like expanding bandwidth, would go a long way. Many of the operators I work with experience the same issues repeatedly, reporting from track and trace, point of sale to METRC on a cyclical basis. Thoughts?
