When working, the medicine #granules are poured into the top hopper through manual loading or automatic loader (optional). The medicine granules are fixed on the roller through the #vacuumconveyingsystem. A customized lighting system and six color cameras are used to monitor the medicine granules. After testing, unqualified products are eliminated and qualified products enter the next process step. The Tensile Strength of Tablets: Why It Matters When developing a tablet, it is important not only to generate accurate data they also need to be comparable. Otherwise, it is impossible to draw sound conclusions. For characterizing formulations this means to transfer the primary trial data compaction force and crushing force into a format independent plot displaying the compaction pressure against the tensile strength of a tablet. This also allows to define guiding values for the strength of tablets. If a tablet is coated in a following process step, its tensile strength should be approximately 2 MPa or more. If it is only packed a value of 1 MPa is often enough. Application Introduction - #Module_Tray & #Cushion_Tray In general, ABS or PS is most commonly used for module trays & cushion trays. However, in the case of ABS or PS, the particle generation rate is high during the thermoforming & cutting process and the conveyor belt transfer process. Because this can increase the defective rate of displays, appliances, cell phones, etc., many customers use protection paper to prevent this. So we recommend our #SKYGREEN PETG. Since PETG has a remarkably low particle generation rate, many electronic product manufacturers are using SKYGREEN PETG. Basically, PETG mono-layer is recommended, but #multi-layer can be recommended to minimize cost impact due to material change. Changing costs can be reduced by applying PETG to the skin layer and applying PET, ABS, PS, etc. to the core-layer. Recently, #uni_material is preferred for recycling, and #recycled_PETG is preferred by customers. In this case, SK chemical's #ECOTRIA and #SKYPET_CR are recommended. Tablets are subjected mechanical shocks during handling, packaging, and transportation. The stress put on the tablets can lead to chipping to weak edges and in extremes, breaking or capping. So, it is important that the tablet has been formulated to be able to withstand this stress. It is also important that loose powder does not erode from the tablets, which could cause a handling hazard. A weak tablet could be due to a number of factors, including poor tablet design, low moisture content, insufficient binder and over-lubrication. To investigate the durability of a tablet, we use the Copley Friability Tester Model FRV 1000 with a single drum, which has been designed in accordance with the specifications that are in the Eur. Ph. Chapter 2.9.7 and USP Chapter <1216>. At Merlin, we use the development setting to test the durability of prototype tablets, to see whether they will chip or break. This information can be helpful for early development tablet formulations. Tablet friability testing involves weighing the sample of tablets and then placing them into a rotating drum.
