👀 📄 Take a glance at the next contract you sign…constitutional rights and full justice may be at risk… If it’s with a corporation (i.e., landlord of an apartment complex, home builder, or product seller), odds are it has a waiver of your constitutional right to jury trial. It might even go further and foreclose your right to access the courts and compel binding arbitration. Now ask, 🙋♂️”why?” The answer boils down to this: jurors are real people from the community who see through BS💩 and, when allowed, give full justice to plaintiffs who have been injured or killed by corporate negligence. So big corporations steal that chance 😈 from you before you ever know or think you’ll need it. There is no doubt that big business sees jury trials as a threat to their bottom line. ❌ They don’t care about justice. ❌ They dont care it’s a constitutional right. ❗️ They care about making sure you can never exercise that right or get Justice. 🤫 The sooner they can sweep you out of a courtroom and into a bench trial where a judge decides the outcome, or an arbitrator, the better they feel it is FOR THEM. It’s not an accident. It’s deliberate. Big corporations don’t do anything like this on a whim. If nothing else, I think it preys on human nature to their benefit. Jurors may serve once in their whole life. They don’t care what you think of their verdict, and they shouldn’t. They’ll never see the competing lawyers again. On the other hand, judges and lawyers who act as arbtrators will almost always see each lawyer again—many, many more times. Despite their best efforts (and I’m not suggesting anything nefarious here), their verdict/decision may seem like one born of compromise, not full justice. And trials are for full justice, not compromise.
