Developed by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), this immersive digital tool enables businesses to rehearse and explore their response to a fictional terrorist incident at or near their premises. There are many types of exercise, from discussion-based walkthroughs to complex live events. They can help you to identify gaps in awareness or knowledge and familiarise or train staff in appropriate response actions. 📣 The National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) has produced new guidance on the mitigation of terrorist threats at venues during entry (ingress) and exit (egress) which highlights the main security concerns and provides various strategies to reduce the risks. Crowds can become targets of terrorist attacks, especially during events at popular venues, with the entry and exit points particularly vulnerable. 📣 We have now published the findings from our public consultation on the future of our business approval scheme. The consultation ran from 22 February to 8 April 2024. The consultation sought views on the principles that we propose should underpin our business approval scheme in future. These were: ➡ the case for change in principle  ➡ our emerging thinking on changes we propose to develop further  ➡ whether there are other changes we should consider as we develop the scheme We received over 400 responses to the consultation from across the UK. Respondents were mainly from the private security industry (86%).
