😱 Do you feel so overwhelmed when you look around you're ready to give up? Maybe it's time to declutter. I have been focused on decluttering this past month and getting more organized. Here are some things I have done that may give you some inspiration to get you started on your decluttering journey: 1️⃣Start Small: Tackling an entire house at once can be daunting. Begin with a small area, like a single room or even a corner, to build momentum. I started with my office area. 2️⃣ Create Designated Spaces: Assign specific places for items to avoid clutter. Knowing where things belong makes it easier to maintain order. Whether it's a filing system or some storage boxes, this can help move things into the right spot. 3️⃣ Digital Declutter: Don't forget about your digital space. Organize your files, delete unnecessary emails, and tidy up your digital desktop. I deleted my ENTIRE work email inbox. It was so freeing. 4️⃣ Set a Timer: Decluttering doesn't have to be an all-day affair. Set a timer for short bursts of decluttering to make it more manageable. I dedicated an hour to my office so I didn't get overwhelmed. Once I finished, I moved to the next area I wanted to work on the next day. 5️⃣ Practice the 90/90 Rule: If you're unsure whether to keep an item, ask yourself if you've used it in the last 90 days or if you'll use it in the next 90 days. If not, consider letting it go. Remember, decluttering is a process, not a one-time event. Celebrate the progress you make, and enjoy the benefits of a more organized and peaceful living space.

Have you ever had a problem finding office supplies in your company’s supply cabinet that you can use? Have you ever had to use a desk-space that felt completely backward and uncomfortable? Have you ever had to use a mouse or presentation clicker that was counter-intuitive? Have you ever had to scribble awkwardly in the tiny little note section or in the margins of a training manual with your hand hanging off the page? Chances are, if you are part of the 10% of the population blessed with being left-handed, your answer is YES. We, in the 10%, are used to holding scissors upside down, clicking the wrong button of the presentation remotes and mice, and working with ‘backward’ desk setups. Many of us have all sorts of funny methods for where to shove our drinks so we don’t have to cross our computers to take a sip and how to angle our hand to scribble notes in books not designed for us. We are used to it… But… Wouldn’t it be something if workstations had the left-handed configuration or the tech setup for presenters included a left-handed option, or there was that left-handed pair of scissors in a corner of the cabinet just in case it’s needed. Sometimes inclusion is as simple as a $10 purchase or a setting in a configuration or longer cords so things can be moved around on a desk. Not only will these small adjustments mean a lot to those of us in the 10%, they also advertise to everyone “we all belong here”.
