In most cases, each sport now has a dedicated social “admin” tasked with driving their account forward every day. Who likes sports here? I know in Tampa, sports drives a ton of excitement every single day. If I was in another position, I would be considering aligning with sports. #Teamworkmakesthedreamwork Even though it's been a month since we officially launched the #TrailblazingMarketplace at the first ever Women's Sports Club Newfront with our partners at Sports Innovation Lab, it still stops me in my tracks when I see these headlines in the trade pubs I have read for the last 20 years (shout out to Mollie Cahillane Sports Business Journal) about what we are building. I know that these moments don't happen without #teamwork and #trust - which is why it's tonight's #trailblazingtuesday focus. Our idea was not overly complex: Capitalize on our experience and relationships over the last 20 years in sports, media, and partnership sales to curate a collection of unique women's sports assets across the media, sponsorship, and athlete ecosystem; use the Sports Innovation Lab Audiences to drive scale and performance to those programs; and deliver exceptional value and impact for brands & their agency partners resulting in dramatic increases in ad spend against women's sports storytelling and live sports content. Seems simple right? CHSN along with Stadium and Bally Live continues to be defined by our desire to deliver fan-centric experiences defined by three major tenets that will bring forth a great experience for brands and fans alike: We must make the experience social: Sports are social by nature and connect people across generations and geographies. Technology supercharges this connection. We need to capitalize on emerging technologies to serve our fans – not only those who come together in our ballparks and arenas, but also the overwhelming majority who are watching from home or on a digital device. We will develop a video destination with the social tools that empower sports fans to react and engage with each other, building an even deeper connection with the content and the sports they consume and support. We must own the relationship with our fans: A CRM with email addresses isn’t enough; we need to know who our fans are, what they want and how we can create the best experiences to foster their fandom. We will develop a digital environment and ecosystem that mimics the in-venue energy but with a personalized touch establishing a one-to-one connection between fan and team.  We must make our product widely available: Cord cutting, evolving distribution models and platform changes are making it more challenging for fans to find their local teams, straining the connection between fans and their favorite teams and players. We must embrace every path to reach as many fans as possible. Our fan-first approach will continue to feature traditional cable, satellite and streaming, and we will expand our reach to fans by including over-the-air television and exciting new ways to digitally connect with our most ardent fans.
