Looks like Signal is saying there wasn’t a zero day exploit (thank you Greg Hamberg for forwarding this)
I will say this however, nation states are continually looking for new exploits to use against their adversaries. When found, the electronic warfare folks frequently notify the vendors of the exploits. But, they may notify the vendors AFTER using the exploits, or they may even hold the exploits for “a rainy day”. It’s entirely possible that they may work with a vendor to patch the interested nation state’s systems but withhold the patches from their enemies (cough Microsoft). Keep these things in mind when evaluating how critical a patch might be and how exposed your systems and company are.
