You know what's pretty cool? Strong leadership that recognises leadership potential, and lifts you up. I'm two weeks into a brand new journey. New environments are scary. Meeting new people is daunting. I've had a lot of change over my twenty something years and sometimes I feel like it never gets easier. But this incredible pool of talent known as Battenhall gave me a platform from the first day I walked through the door... and they've taught me something👇 When you start a new job, don't try to prove your worth. Shake off the pressure to be confident and to be seen. Your value isn't in your status as the new talent as that will expire. It's in your authenticity. Success will show up when you do, in the unpolished, grounded version of you. YOU were hired for a reason. Cringey 🫣 ? No, just honest. Thanks Drew Benvie for your trust. Let's wow that new client 😎 #newjob #leadership
Founder & CEO at Battenhall. 2024 Campaign Magazine & Sabres PR CEO of the Year, PRCA Outstanding Contribution, NMA #1 Social Media Consultant in the UK, PRWeek Power Book 14 yrs running.
It was so energising to bring our global teams together physically and virtually for our first company Town Hall of the year this week. New starters sat next to old timers is amazing to help build team culture. That's Charlie Sharpe in grey, in his 10th year at Battenhall after starting work at the agency at the tender age of 17, sat next to one of our newest team members Isabella B. who has just won her first client in her second week here. And me looking on in pride at our 60+ colleagues dialling in and co-presenting from across the world. Here's to 2024 surrounded by positivity and talent.

This week, we hosted a virtual all-staff meeting at D'Ieteren, and I couldn't be more proud of the incredible teamwork and engagement from everyone involved. 10 of our talented colleagues took the stage, while another 10 worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. We spent an hour discussing key topics and answering live questions from our colleagues. It was truly inspiring to see hundreds of you online, actively participating and sharing your thoughts. This event was a fantastic way to wrap up the first semester of the year, and it's clear that this won't be the last time we come together like this. Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to all who joined us. Here's to many more successful and collaborative sessions ahead!

When was your last team night out? 👩💼🍹🍜 Let's pause for a moment to recognize what sets Rise apart from other companies. We understand that our employees are the heart and backbone of our success story. That's why we empower our team leaders to treat their teams to an enjoyable night out every quarter. We can't help but reflect on the importance of these experiences. It’s clear that team nights out are about much more than just a change of scenery. They are about strengthening the bonds that make us an incredible team. So, in the end a team night out is not just about escaping the office; it's about celebrating the awesome team that works together day in and day out. It's about creating moments that make us appreciate the unique talents and personalities that each team member brings to the table. Our recent night out was a reminder that when we work (and dine) together, we become a stronger, more tightly-knit team capable of achieving great things. 🎉🥂 Here's to many more unforgettable team nights out in the future! What did we do at our Team Offsite? Here's a glimpse - 1. Networking: Our Sales, Training, and Support teams joined forces to strengthen our collaboration, because we hardly get a chance to meet during our travel. 2. Trying a new Team Activity: We dove into a unique activity blending sustainability and tech. Because after all, our internal team gets the first chance to experience our cutting edge programs. 3. Getting Active and Competitive: Sports aren't just for fun (though we had loads of that!). They reveal our true selves and foster camaraderie like nothing else can. And that's why we picked up Olympics challenge. 4. Reaffirming Our Core Values: Taking time to revisit and reaffirm them was a reminder of our unique identity. Because that's our differentiator. Our offsite wasn't just about escaping the office—it was about strengthening bonds, fostering growth, and recharging our collective spirit. Here's to more adventures ahead! 🎉 #OffsiteAdventure #TeamBuilding #FutureSuccess

Thank you Wily LLC and Eric Gorman for having me today! Typically when chugging along in all the work to be done, we don’t get the chance to glance back at the through line of our stories, so thanks for this opportunity to reflect on my journey in innovation! If you haven’t heard of Wily before, check them out at https://www.wearewily.com. When should you engage their services? Here are some ideas: 🎯When you are trying to pinpoint the challenge or key intervention point of a problem you are addressing to make things better. 👥When you need to facilitate a diverse set of roles and perspectives to build a solution or move work forward. 💡When you have an initial idea of what you want to do but need to build more support. You can hire them to do the work or sign up to learn how to do the work! The next opportunity to advance your skill set with them is coming up and as someone who learned so many useful tools in this training, you should check it out: https://lnkd.in/dBNntp9a

The most beautiful place I’ve ever done a session. Environment matters for growth. Just like a petri dish, the right conditions will impact how things grow.🌳 Intentionally creating optimal conditions, will help your team grow. The team I worked with this week set a big quarterly number, 📈 that if achieved would result in a special reward location for the next planning session. Lo and behold, with the goal crystal clear, the team rallied and achieved the number. 🙌 The reward was a session at this absolutely stunning location.🏞 It completely changed how the session progressed. Everyone commented how they ‘felt’ different… better. An unexpected benefit was the bonus team-building event they achieved because they had the gift of driving down together. Connection 🚗 (windshield) time has its benefits. The result? ✅ Their best session to date. ✅ Space to breathe. ✅ Space to connect. ✅ Space to celebrate. Be intentional about it all, it makes a difference.
