As a population, we're becoming much more aware when it comes to water quality - but the condition of a river is so much more complicated than what flows into it from our water treatment systems. The BBC's Inside Science series has released an excellent panel discussion live from the stage at Green Man Festival in Wales to discuss 'What Makes A Healthy River?' - listen to the experts discussing this important point here: https://bbc.in/46kBcs0 #Riverhealth #Waterquality #BBC #BBCinsidescience

Recent EU regulations are mandating climate accounting from the beginning of this year. The new climate reporting requirements aim to unveil the genuine environmental efforts of businesses, differentiating the truly green from those merely pretending. In this connection, CEO Joakim Lassen and Supply Chain Director Mikkel Wildfang have been interviewed by the local TV2 FYN, discussing Montana's work on carbon footprints and our response to the new requirements. Joakim Lassen states, among other things: "I am one of those who advocate for much more legislation in the environmental and climate areas – and preferably a more ambitious legislation." "The only way we can get done what we need to get done is to get #politicians to change the #law." This is John Gummer, Rt Hon The Lord Deben's contribution to ITV Tonight, where he is featured along with Dale Vince and Rupert Read. Floods, heatwaves and storms hitting mean it is time to move beyond #climate protests and start addressing this crisis across various sectors of society. For instance, we need to get real about how difficult it is for #businesses to operate sustainably under the current regulations, often being outcompeted by those who continue to "play dirty". #ClimateMajority https://lnkd.in/e6UWd3Ry

Live broadcast can be challenging and this can happen. Can be avoided by producing prerecorded programs, they can be edited. The 3rd way that is used a lot on radio too, is live with 15 seconds delay. Enough time to cut the signal gently before it goes on air. What about a maximum weight rule for guests?

🌍 Not Being Too 'Armageddony': The New Climate Word 🌧️ Yesterday, Emma was on Radio Leicester with Ady Dayman talking about the hot topic at the moment- Storm Bebet and climate change! The devastating impact of storm Bebet has lead to the media drawing attention to extreme weather events and their connection to climate change- check out Emma's interview for a concise explanation of why we are getting vast volumes of rain and how this is all linked to climate change and rising global temperatures! (tune in around 1:20) However, Emma also touched upon the all-too-familiar climate anxiety. Talking candidly, Emma discusses how it's understandable that the devastation from these extreme weather events can feel worlds apart from the concept of climate change. Its's hard to make the connection between the flood in your house or street and this massive world problem of climate change. But they are intrinsically linked and unfortunately the scale of the problem is causing people to switch off. But, here's the takeaway, let's not get to 'Armageddony' - we CAN take action. 🌱 Individually and collectively we can contribute to mitigating climate change. Whether it's reducing our carbon footprint, supporting sustainable practices, or advocating for climate-friendly policies, we have the power to make a difference. Check out Emma's interview, at 1:20: https://ayr.app/l/EgMc #ClimateChange #ClimateAction #Sustainability #ClimateResilience #TogetherWeCan
