I love this! Post-COVID, most of us (myself included) missed reflecting on our work trying to fix digital public health infrastructure. Moving on, I had this nagging feeling we were losing a lot of hard-earned insights. Did anyone publish on COVID digital lessons learned? I'd love to see it. Maybe it's possible to still piece insights together before collective amnesia kicks in.

This week I had the honour of joining an OECD - OCDE delegation to South Korea to conduct a peer review of their digital public services and infrastructure. We held 19 in depth interviews with representatives from 14 different departments. It’s honestly been one of the most fascinating and rewarding experiences of my career so far. Exploring another nation’s digital government in such depth has really helped me appreciate our own context in the UK, and much of what South Korea has achieved is genuinely inspiring. Huge thanks to Amanda Dahl and Farah Hussain in GDS for setting this up, to my OECD colleagues Barbara Ubaldi, Julian Olsen, Cecilia Emilsson and Seong Ju Park, my fellow peer Laura Sommer, and especially to the many dedicated people we met from the South Korean government, including Byung Joon Park, Tarea Choi, Jun Hyeon Oh and Hyun Joo Kim. Also, shout out to the two translators, who were amazing!
