#Engage and #LeanIn were the themes at "The Toughest Test in Sales Education", Selling with the Bulls last week. The University of South Florida Muma College of Business hosted exceptional sales talent from across the nation in a dynamic intercollegiate sales competition that spanned the entire sales process from prospecting (email, LinkedIn, vmail, phone call) to networking, needs identification, and finally sales close. 120 competitors from more than 20 universities competed in all events across three flights, completing 360 role plays (phone call, discovery, and sales meeting), 720 trade show / conference style scheduled networking conversations - all in 27 hours. FYI - True champions won’t partner with unprepared salespeople! This might hurt to hear but it’s true… It’s not worth the risk to their brand and reputation internally. They only have so much social capital (not to mention literal capital) so you have to earn their trust before they will truly be your champion. The good news for you is, most AEs don’t prepare and just wing it so even a little preparation and due diligence on your end will make you stand out from the masses! Ask yourself, what have you done to differentiate yourself from just another AE to a trusted business partner? #sales #salesleadership #champions
