At startups in early-stage, you have no moat. We are building ours by not selling SaaS but **Software IS a Service**. Moats are built over time. Investors and customers are going to ask about it: "What is the difference and the competitive moat with you vs competitor X?" This question is usually a rhetoric one. If you are hearing this, know that you have not communicated your differences well enough. That is what is called product messaging. More often than not, your messaging can be the moat. "If I step back and answer your question I think which was about how do they pitch differently does a man versus a woman pitch differently I would say that frequently a male entrepreneur fits into the category that's known as "fake it until you make it." I don't know if you've heard that term before but it's it's really about a lot of self-confidence about the ability to bluff a little bit to be a little bit have a little bit of hubris about their capabilities and women tend in general-I don't want to overly generalize here- but women more generally are more realistic and more fact-based and so they don't try to claim something they haven't already achieved whereas a male might think I know I can do that so I'm going to claim that I'm gonna grab that territory and call it mine and a woman might say I need to go prove it first and then I'll be willing to talk about it."  Love your insights, Cindy!
