"Each of us shares hopes and dreams, doubts and insecurities. The key to life is to survive it, and that starts with an understanding that no path is free from obstacles. The key is to learn how to solve for the immediate problem rather than succumb to drugs, depression or worse." Thank you Forbes for this inspiring write-up of the work School of Rock, Frank Zummo of Sum41, and the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide are doing together. Music makes a difference. #schoolofrock #SPTS #MusicEducation

Our community is unlike any other. Our annual AllStars tour came to an end a few weeks back, and since then, we have been reflecting on the memories that were made from the experience. After a 3-year hiatus brought about by the global pandemic, the original AllStars format was reinstated and the energy and passion that emanated from all involved was higher than ever before. 160 School of Rock students from across the world came together on 7 different teams to rehearse and perform at various cities across the United States and Canada, and the end result was nothing short of incredible. The AllStars students, who start out as complete strangers, spend every waking moment together for 10 days to rehearse their sets, record at pro-recording studios, and put on energetic performances that attendees will never forget. It would be an understatement to say that the AllStars students become friends. While on tour, life-long bonds are formed through a passion for music and dedication to musicianship. If you attended one of the final performances of the tour, you were witness to the many emotions that come with saying goodbye at the end of this experience. The School of Rock community comes together in so many ways for the AllStars tour: staff members come from far and wide to create a safe and educational experience for the students, franchise owners and operators offer up their schools outside of normal business hours to allow the students to rehearse for the event, and our partners provide only the best products to support our musicians while on tour. That being said, an AllStars tour of this caliber would not be possible without the generous sponsorships from our partners. Special thanks to Vocal Eze, who provided our students with a variety of vocal wellness products to keep the AllStars voices at 100% throughout the tour. Shure Incorporated, who provided us with top quality tour mics, Gibraltar Industries, who provided us with exclusive custom racks for our drum kits, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, who provided a number of brand-new guitar and bass amps, Avedis Zildjian Company, who provided us with their iconic drum cymbals, Gretsch Drums, who provided drum kits, and of course - Hal Leonard , our musical gear and accessory distributor that provides almost all of the gear in our GearSelect program. AllStars 2023 has reminded us that the power of music is stronger than ever, and that School of Rock is truly the most revolutionary music program in the world.
